The title is a lyric from Paradise Circus by Massive Attack. The series started with me playing around with my Pentax 6x7 and photographing a friend (as seen in the first image). Each subject was directed to mentally work through something they were dealing with at the time. The two images are meant to capture the subtle difference between doing that in public and doing that in private.
